La serie discursa sobre la poca presencia del cuerpo femenino negro en imágenes históricas. En esta dirección mis acciones confrontan la cámara y el espectador que se sitúa frente al vídeo resultante. Es un ejercicio de protesta, libertad y lucha.
This serie of videos discuss about
the relation of black female body and its representation in the Art History and
History in general. More
specific its lack of presence, or almost no presence in the representation of
historical images: paintings, drawings, photos, etc. In this direction the
actions are an aggressive confrontation with the camera and by result the
“viewer” watching behind. It’s an exercise of protest, freedom and confrontation
to this insufficient documentation.
